Incorporated in 1960, a year before Tanzania’s independence, Business Machines Limited (BML) started as an Office Automation Equipment Provider, dealing in simple equipment like type writers and duplicating machines.

 

 In 1994, BMTL became a part of the Kenyan Copy Cat Group, with New Head Office located in Nairobi and became BMTL. Copycat Group in Kenya being a leading IT- System Integration company and the Giant in IT and Office Automation business in East Africa.

This further strengthened our presence in the region and enabled us to raise our technical capabilities to unmatched levels.

 

 Now, over fifty years later, BMTL has grown to become a Super Brand in Eastern Africa and the horn of Africa, delivering unparalleled Information Technology and Office Automation Solutions, with a Group Turnover in excess of USD 100 million.

 Beginning this year BMTL will be renamed as Copycat Tanzania Ltd to synchronize with the parent company
